Jessica Leclerc

Yoga Instructor
Massage Therapist

Jessica took her first yoga class in 2004 and fell in love with how the movement of yoga asana felt in her body. She quickly found that the practice also supported her to break out of her shell, and allowed her to be more autonomous and self directed.

After years of practicing at various studios and gyms, in 2010 Jessica found the Vital Life Center and fell in love with yoga all over again.  This time, yoga became a lifestyle, not just a workout.  Jessica was called to further her study through meditation practice, self inquiry, yogic philosophies and other forms of bhakti yoga.

In 2011 Jessica began an apprenticeship under the guidance of Jayaprabha Mare and continues her training at Vital Life Center.  Jessica has also been fortunate enough to learn from a number of national yoga instructors and has been highly influenced by Todd Norian, Tias Little, and Ana Forrest.

Jessica encourages her students to push into their edges, yet respect their bodies limitations.  She focuses very seriously on alignment and brings a lighthearted, fun atmosphere to the room striking the balance between focus and play.

She has worked as a Park Naturalist at Westmoor Park teaching outdoor environmental education, and also organized and trained facilitators to lead nature walks with yoga.

Jessica developed an afterschool program at Chamberlain Elementary through Urban Oaks Organic Farm of New Britain where she helped young people to create raised garden beds, taught about healthy eating and healthy life style including yoga.

She has also enjoyed instructing kids yoga and meditation at yoga summer camps and day care events.

Jessica teaches Power Yoga, Gentle Yoga, as well as Yoga Basics and Kids Yoga offering something for all bodies and all abilities and all ages.
