Tony Aniello

Yoga Instructor

From participation in sports his whole life; Tony understands the importance of practice in order for self-improvement. Having recovered from various injuries/surgeries he has developed an appreciation for the human body and its ability to heal. Tony took his first yoga class in 2004, coinciding with a severe ankle dislocation, fracture and surgery. He credits yoga as a reason to why he has made such a full recovery. He feels it is injury and intuition that has led him to his current schooling at the University of Hartford where he will graduate in May 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Tony urges his students to test their boundaries during practice with an emphasis of non-struggle. Energy flows where attention goes while tension prevents that flow. Tony wishes for his students to build strength with ease while encouraging them to breathe and practice according to their own bodies. Yoga is beneficial in its injury/illness prevention capabilities if done properly, and in that Tony overlaps his yoga and physical therapy training to provide a rigorous yet conscious practice.
